Lost and Found

For hundreds of years they had been sleeping.
The ocean had been their home since that terrible day, when they had been banished to this prison of endless ocean.
Now that they had been rediscovered, the time for waiting was at an end. The divers were shocked when they saw the colossal, stone giants begin to stir in the water. It was time for revenge.
For millions of years, ships have mysteriously disappeared including the ship which contained some of the most valuable weapons. Very little sailors survived. The survivors had never been right from that day on, apart from two, they had said that just before their ship had sunk, they saw marble like things but was surrounded by sprays of water. Sadly, they were the only two who saw it.
Some people did go down, into the sea to look for the marbles, but they never came back, disappeared just like the ships.
The divers got out their weapons, which was readily sharpened the night before. They advanced slowly. Then the strangest thing happened, the marbles began to shrink until it was the size of average men.
Slowly the marbles pulled out rifles, the exact ones which had disappeared years ago, ‘Yours.’ they said in a monotone voice, ‘Now go,’
The divers was confused and were speechless for a second, then the leader, John Parker replied calmly, ‘Not until you tell us who you are,’ then a pause, ‘or even go back with us.’

‘It isn’t possible, we are spirits,’ the marbles answered in the same monotone, ‘and since you decided not to follow our command…’ the marble suddenly stretched back into their original size, reached out and grabbed the divers and swallowed them whole.
