Pig Heart Boy New Book Cover

This activity is set by Miss McCombie, and as you can see here, it is to design a new book cover for Pig Heart Boy.
Zara and I first had a draft and listed all the must have, we chose that type of font because it is quite bold and can eye-catching. We also made that catch phrase because it technically sums up the whole story in that one sentence, although it might be quite similar to the catchphrase on the actual book.
I decided to have a pig on my background because the title have pig in it and so it would be nice to give it a visual.
And of course, the author must be put on.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

Pig Heart Boy: PMI

This is the acitivity Mrs North set us to do today about Cameron receiving the money that the magazines gave to have unlimited access to his story.
And we had to make a PMI (Positive, Negative, Interesting) chart of all the possiblities of what would happen if he receives the money.
Do you have anymore suggestions for any of these?

Cameron Diary Entry Screencastify

This screencastify is of me reading a diary entry I wrote, pretending I'm the main character from Pig Heart Boy - Cameron. I'm sorry if there are some spoiler points in this entry.

This task was for our reading set by Miss McCombie. I wrote the diary entry quite quickly, but it's just recording that took the most time.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this way of presentation.

Cinnamon for Synonyms

One of the activity for this week was learning about synonyms. Miss McCombie made a Google Drawing With a chart and words scattered around it. We had to drag the words under the correct colum to match the word. This short and fun acitvity was to help us with our synonyms. I knew most of these words but I had some trouble with a couple of them.

What is your favourite words out of these? My favourite is probably serene, which means calm, peaceful and undisturbed

Accuracy and speed activity

On Monday afternoon, our class went onto the Astroturf to do two acitivities. One is about accuracy and the other speed.

The accuracy acitivity: there is one hula hoop laid at a distance, then you have to try roll a tennis ball into the hoop.

The speed activity: have cones set out in a line with some distances, then you run from a line to one of the cones and put a ball on the cone, and then you run back and do the same things until all the cones have a ball on top of it. Then you run back and forwards again to collect the balls back in. One important rule: you can only have one ball in your hands.

These two activities took 30 mins to play in total because we played many rounds.

Here are some photos from these two activities:

Hyperbole Recount: Waking Up Early

Do you like waking up early? I know I definitely don't. For our writing, we were told to write a hyperbole recount so I decided to write about how I feel when I wake up every morning.
A hyperbole is something that is exaggerated to an extent that is not real.
Comment down below if you feel like this every morning too.

Pumpkin Soup

On Wednesday, our class made pumpkin soup. I love pumpkin soup, do you?
Here is the ingredients:
2 pumpkin chopped
4 white potatoes grated
2 large onions diced
1 cup of red lentils
4 vegetable stock cubes
Bunch of parsley
1L boiled water

This is how you make it:
Put everything into a slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on high.
After 4 hours, hand blend the soup until there is a smooth consistency.
Serve and enjoy.

Serving tip: Serve with some warm bread if liked

Here's some photos of us preparing and having the soup.
