Our Orchard

Spring's here and our school garden is busy with bees.
Yesterday Mary came back to our school to have a look at our Orchard. They're all doing really well and the trees Micki, Chloe, Jenayde and I planted (Patricia-apple, Pitunia-Plum) have grown about 5-10cm which is awesome!
What fruit trees do you like?

Here are some photos:

Tongan Language Week: foods

This is our acitivity for the Tongan Language Week. Micki and I decided to work together and focus on the dishes of Tongan, we created a slideshow on the different dishes. One intersting thing was that Tongans use the umu to cook most of their foods, and the main ingredients were fish, lots and lots of fish.
Our favourite dish is the Faikakai Topai. What is your favourite dish?

Pig Heart Boy New Book Cover

This activity is set by Miss McCombie, and as you can see here, it is to design a new book cover for Pig Heart Boy.
Zara and I first had a draft and listed all the must have, we chose that type of font because it is quite bold and can eye-catching. We also made that catch phrase because it technically sums up the whole story in that one sentence, although it might be quite similar to the catchphrase on the actual book.
I decided to have a pig on my background because the title have pig in it and so it would be nice to give it a visual.
And of course, the author must be put on.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

Pig Heart Boy: PMI

This is the acitivity Mrs North set us to do today about Cameron receiving the money that the magazines gave to have unlimited access to his story.
And we had to make a PMI (Positive, Negative, Interesting) chart of all the possiblities of what would happen if he receives the money.
Do you have anymore suggestions for any of these?

Cameron Diary Entry Screencastify

This screencastify is of me reading a diary entry I wrote, pretending I'm the main character from Pig Heart Boy - Cameron. I'm sorry if there are some spoiler points in this entry.

This task was for our reading set by Miss McCombie. I wrote the diary entry quite quickly, but it's just recording that took the most time.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this way of presentation.
